​Thai Affair was born out of a love of travel. During a travelling adventure made spontaneously to see her friends, Noelia - the founder - met her now boyfriend, Leandro, who gave her the idea that a simple yet robust-looking machine they had seen in Southeast Asia could be the foundation to a great gelato empire.

A little market research and some daydreaming later, she jumped right in. Living in two separate countries, her idea was to build a seasonal business where the off-season would allow them to see each other every year and continue to travel. They vowed to make it work, and Thai Affair Rolled Gelato launched out of a tiny stand by the beach in White Rock, BC in summer 2017.

Met with great enthusiasm by both locals and tourists, Thai Affair was raised by the love and support of the community and now serves rolled gelato every summer from May till September. This 2019 season, it will also serve gelato at the Richmond Night Market!
